Ubuntu Reference Guide

Introduction

This guide has been mostly confirmed to work with Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal Quetzal. I recommend that you upgrade to the latest version of Ubuntu available by way of fresh install just in case there have been any massive updates.

This guide is mainly based on the command line (terminal) as that is often the better way to do things. If you prefer to use graphical programs replace nano with gedit in the examples to use a graphical text editor. This guide may not be the most perfect way of doing things in an Ubuntu installation but it represents the sum of my linux knowledge.
